The Survey of 95,000 poster sites throughout the UK called for strong project management combined with surveying, data processing and data management skills.
The survey was commissioned to provide data for a mathematical model that measures the effectiveness of each poster site. Geographical location, visibility distances and angles, road widths, bus routes, obstructions, the scope of information seems endless. In all we estimate that we have collected and processed in excess of 6 million items and 200,000 digital photographs.
Our task was to design and implement a suitable system to collect data, train and mobilise a workforce of up to 17 surveyors and data processors, and to deliver data for all 95,000 posters within a 2 year period.
