The collapse of a man made structure on the Lisan Peninsular in Jordan, at the southern end of the Dead Sea, prompted an investigation into its cause. Tom complete the investigation, information on the submarine bed form and geological straitigraphy, within the vicinity if the failure were required.
At very short notice, a crew was mobilised from the UK, to the investigation site. The survey involved bathymetry, side-scan sonar and shallow seismic investigation of an area measuring approximately 2.5x 1.8km. The water depths ranged from less than 2m to more than 150m.
